All face-to-face learning activities are suspended from March 13<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, to April 14<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, and April 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, in the case of the Faculty of Economics and Business.<\/p>\n<p>On March 12<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, the Rector of the University of Barcelona issued a statement on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ub.edu\/web\/ub\/en\/menu_eines\/noticies\/2020\/03\/021.html\">suspension of all face-to-face academic activities<\/a> at the University of Barcelona. An additional statement was issued on March 14<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020, on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ub.edu\/web\/ub\/en\/menu_eines\/noticies\/2020\/03\/026.html\">closing of the university buildings and facilities<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Barcelona has decided to minimise all face-to-face activities in accordance with the exceptional measures taken by the Government of Catalonia and the state of alert declared by the Spanish Government, which imposes certain restrictions on movement.<\/p>\n<p>The University of Barcelona community is updated constantly through the website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ub.edu\/coronavirus\">www.ub.edu\/coronavirus<\/a> and the email address <a href=\"mailto:info-coronavirus@ub.edu\">info-coronavirus@ub.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During the coming weeks, the UB School of Sociology team will work remotely in order to ensure the safety of everyone.
