This is a series of meetings in which experts from various fields at the University of Barcelona will be holding a virtual caf\u00e9 to share their knowledge with the public, thus offering a multidisciplinary view of the current pandemic.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Through these online meetings, the UB Faculty of Economics and Business joins the European Researchers’ Night to debate the current situation from different points of view.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

On Tuesday 24 November, at\u00a0<\/span>18:00 CET<\/span>, will start the\u00a0<\/span>science\u00a0<\/span>c<\/span>af\u00e9<\/span>\u00a0‘<\/span>Post-Pandemic Europe. Co-creation of science with social impact<\/span><\/a>‘. Organized by the UB Department of Sociology and moderated by\u00a0<\/span>Marta Soler<\/span><\/a>, president of the European Sociological Association (ESA) and member of the department, it will be attended by other UB experts such as\u00a0<\/span>Ramon Flecha<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>L\u00eddia Puigvert<\/span><\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>Elisabeth Torras<\/span><\/a>, and\u00a0<\/span>Emilia Aiello<\/span><\/a>, Marie\u00a0<\/span>Sklodowska<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Curie Post-doctoral fellow\u00a0<\/span>of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and member of the\u00a0<\/span>initiative \u201cCiencia en el\u00a0<\/span>Parlamento<\/span>\u201c (Science in Parliament)\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the meeting,\u00a0<\/span>it will be presented\u00a0<\/span>the ALLINTERACT project, selected in one of the last calls of Horizon Europe (the European Commission’s strategic research plan). It is a project that prioritizes the co-creation of science with the participation of citizens to ensure its social impact and overcome the gap between scientific evidence and policy. Two platforms will also be presented, made public on 1 November, aimed at\u00a0<\/span>facilitating the\u00a0<\/span>interaction between the world of research and the public, to clarify and question concepts linked to gender and education.
