La cocreaci\u00f3 del SISM (2018) respon a la demanda que la Direcci\u00f3 General de Recerca (Comissi\u00f3 Europea) va fer al Dr. Flecha, quan va ser contractat com a cap dels cient\u00edfics que van desenvolupar els criteris d\u2019impacte social en el marc dels programes Horitz\u00f3. En els primers mesos de la pand\u00e8mia, el SISM va jugar un paper important a l\u2019hora d\u2019afavorir l\u2019evid\u00e8ncia sobre la COVID a les xarxes socials occidentals i xineses. Ara s\u2019est\u00e0 utilitzant en camps molt diferents.<\/p>\n<p>Els autors argumenten que mesurar l\u2019impacte social de la recerca cada vegada \u00e9s m\u00e9s necessari per assegurar la rellev\u00e0ncia que t\u00e9 per a la societat, especialment a mesura que la comunitat cient\u00edfica pren m\u00e9s consci\u00e8ncia de la necessitat de millores socials derivades de la recerca.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019estudi identifica un buit en les metodologies existents per avaluar l\u2019impacte social, que sovint no tenen marcs conceptuals \u00e0mpliament acceptats. Utilitzant la metodologia SISM, els autors pretenen reunir evid\u00e8ncies quantitatives i qualitatives de l\u2019impacte social compartit a trav\u00e9s de les xarxes socials. El SICOR est\u00e0 dissenyat espec\u00edficament per mesurar el percentatge de tuits i publicacions de Facebook que proporcionen informaci\u00f3 sobre l\u2019impacte social real o potencial en relaci\u00f3 amb la quantitat total de dades de xarxes socials recopilades per a projectes de recerca espec\u00edfics.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019an\u00e0lisi, que inclou deu projectes seleccionats, revela que nom\u00e9s el 0,43 % dels tuits i publicacions analitzades contenen evid\u00e8ncies d\u2019impacte social.
