El crep\u00fasculo del orden mundial neoliberal\u00bb, delivered by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">\u00c1lvaro Garc\u00eda Linera<\/span><\/span>, who served as Vice President of Bolivia from 2006 to 2019.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"316\" data-end=\"473\">The event opened with a brief introduction by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">David Casassas<\/span><\/span>, professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"475\" data-end=\"837\">During his presentation, Garc\u00eda Linera examined the structural decline of the neoliberal world order and reflected on the transitional period contemporary societies are experiencing. According to his analysis, this \u201climinal time\u201d is marked by uncertainty and by the difficulty of predicting the characteristics of the new global order that is currently emerging.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"839\" data-end=\"1040\">The lecture brought together students, faculty members, and members of the university community interested in the major political, economic, and social challenges shaping today\u2019s international context.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 22, the UB School of Sociology hosted the keynote lecture \u00abEl tiempo liminal.
