The UB was listed once again among the top 200 universities worldwide, in the 151-200 bloc. Now, a report by Domingo Docampo, former rector of the University of Vigo, published in AtlanTTic Research Center for Information and Communication Technologies, shows the UB was about to hold a position among the top 150 universities worldwide, since its specific position is number 152, listed before the University of S\u00e3o Paulo and become the top university regarding Ibero-America.<\/p>\n<p>Docampo also created a list of 400 Ibero-American universities appearing in ARWU 2018 and its conclusion states that there are ten Spanish universities among the top 25 universities of this region, together with six Brazilian ones, five from Portugal, two from Chile, one Argentinian and another from Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>The top ten universities of the Ibero-American region according to ARWU 2018 are:<\/p>\n<p>1\u00a0 University of Barcelona<br \/>\n2\u00a0 University of S\u00e3o Paulo<br \/>\n3\u00a0 University of Lisbon<br \/>\n4\u00a0 University of Buenos Aires<br \/>\n5\u00a0 National Autonomous University of Mexico<br \/>\n6\u00a0 Pompeu Fabra University<br \/>\n7\u00a0 University of Granada<br \/>\n8\u00a0 Complutense University of Madrid<br \/>\n9\u00a0 Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid<br \/>\n10\u00a0 Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona<\/p>\n<p>For more information, please visit this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/publication\/327306212_400_universidades_de_Espana_Portugal_y_Latinoamerica_en_ARWU_expanded_2018\" target=\"_self\">website<\/a>.","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last August 15, the last edition of the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), known as the Shanghai Ranking, was published.
