Although\u00a0one section focuses on how to write clearly, the word\u00a0<\/em>style<em>\u00a0in the title\u00a0refers not to literary style but to those linguistic conventions concerning\u00a0spelling, punctuation, typographical display and other editorial issues\u00a0that are essential for consistent, clear and precise language and layout.\u00a0Consistency in these areas leads to clarity and cohesion which, in turn,\u00a0makes documents more straightforward for readers.
