The Seminari Filosofia i Gènere is organising a new session of the 15th International Lecture Series “Arendtian Springs”, which will take place on Thursday, 28 May 2026, at 6 p.m., in the Seminari Ramon Llull of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Barcelona.
In this session, Jaciel Valente will give the lecture “La comprensión de la historia en Hannah Arendt: de la materia fáctica a la reificación narrativa”.
Jaciel Valente holds a degree in History from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná and a master’s degree in History from the Federal University of Paraná. He is currently a doctoral candidate in History at the Federal University of Paraná and is undertaking a research stay at the University of Coimbra. He has developed several research projects on the work of Hannah Arendt and is a member of the Human Rights and Memory Policies Network —DIHPOM—.
The activity is held in collaboration with the Catalan Institute for Women.
