Encounters with Akiko Tsuchiya and Constanze Ruhm

From November 17 to 21, 2025, the 12th edition of Barcelona Pensa will take place — a philosophy festival directed by Antonio Gómez Villar and Sergi Oms, with Carlota Serrahima as Head of Programming.

The festival will feature the participation of several researchers from the Philosophy and Gender Seminar and ADHUC—Research Center for Theory, Gender, Sexuality.

First, the activity “Fragilities” will include contributions from Philosophy and Gender Seminar researchers Fina Birulés and Stefania Fantauzzi, along with Jordi Dot, Begonya Sáez, and Pere Puig. Based on selected video fragments by Pere Puig and the thought of Hannah Arendt, there will be a philosophical discussion on fragility. It will take place on Monday, November 17, at the Philosophy Seminar of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Barcelona.

Després, hi ha la projecció del film È a questo punto che nasce il bisogno di fare storia (2024), dirigit per Constanze Ruhm. Taking part in the following discussion, together with the director, will be Hypatia Pétriz, Lorena Fuster, and Elena Laurenzi. This event will be on Monday, November 17, at 7 p.m. at Zumzeig Cinema Cooperativa.

Likewise, on Thursday, November 20, at 9 a.m., the session “Anniversaries: Gilles Deleuze, Gottlob Frege, and Hannah Arendt” will take place, featuring Lorena Fuster, Lluís Aguiló, and Josep Macià, at La Calders Bookstore.

Finally, Núria Sara Miras will present, together with Àger Pérez Casanovas, The Black Book of Philosophy, with its author Miquel Àngel Ballester Salas. It will be held on Friday, November 21, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Lleialtat Santsenca.
