exposoma químic o exposoma química?

El terme exposoma, encunyat pel doctor Christopher Paul Wild, fa referència a tots els factors d’origen no genètic a què estem exposats i que influeixen en la nostra salut. En paraules del mateix autor:

The concept of the exposome was developed to draw attention to the critical need for more complete environmental exposure assessment in epidemiological studies; environment is defined in this context in the broad sense of ‘non-genetic’. The exposome, therefore, complements the genome by providing a comprehensive description of lifelong exposure history. Tal com podem veure, el terme exposoma és un compost format per paral·lelisme amb genoma. Hi ha certa discussió sobre la formació de genoma (segons algunes fonts està format amb la barreja del substantiu gen + la part final de cromosoma), però les fonts més fiables, com l’Oxford English Dictionary, consideren que es tracta d’una formació a partir de la forma sufixada −oma:

En català, tots els mots formats amb el sufix –oma són masculins: condiloma, escleroma, rizoma, odontoma, tricoma, vacuoma, bioma, genoma, etc. Per tant, també és masculí exposoma. I l’expressió correcta és exposoma químic.
