In a globalized context, the academic and scientific world is necessarily interconnected. The University of Barcelona incorporates this international dimension in its research activity and its leadership is notable in various networks. It leads the CHARM European University, which brings together prestigious universities such as Trinity College Dublin, Utrecht University, the University of Montpellier and the Loránd Eötvös University of Budapest. In addition, it forms part of the League of European Research Universities (LERU), a network involved in competitive international research. With its strong position in international rankings, the University of Barcelona leads numerous international research projects through its research groups and participates in a range of international networks and associations.
