Where you have to go to register your arrival at the UB
Go to the UB faculty or school in which you have been accepted to study and the UB centre will:
- Issue you with a temporary UB student card, which gives you acces to a range of specífic services
- Answer any questions you might have on your arrival, or at any time during your stay
- Provide you with a pack containing information about the city and the University of Barcelona
Documents required to obtain the temporary student card
To obtain your temporary student card, you should present:
- A document stating that you have been accepted to study temporarily at the UB (a letter or acceptance form signed by the Head of International Exchanges in your future centre of studies)
- Medical Insurance covering your stay at the UB: European health insurance card (intended to replace forms E-111 o E-128) and accidents and repatriation insurance or private medical insurance stating that you are covered while studying in Spain
- 2 passport-size photographs
What you should do after registering your arrival at the UB
- If you don't have any accommodation organised on your arrival in Barcelona, you should visit the Resa Housing.
- A few weeks into the semester, you must register for the subjects or other activities you have decided to take at the secretariat of your UB faculty or school. Registration must be made in order to obtain the appropriate certificate at the end of your period of study at the UB. You should consult your faculty or school for the dates when registration can be completed
- Students who needed to obtain student visa before leaving their country should obtain a residence license. This document will allow them to show that they are legally living in Spain
