The Vice-Rectorate for Teaching at the UB develops the Research, Improvement and Innovation in Teaching and Learning (RIMDA) program, offering solutions that respond adequately to the new academic requirements and fostering the improvement of the quality of teaching at the Barcelona University.

The Program contemplates and integrates the three axes present in the most advanced programs in the training of the university teaching staff: the pedagogical and didactic formation, the educational innovation and the research in university teaching.

Joint teaching innovation projects are carried out in which their experimentation (research) results in the training of teachers and in the improvement of their teaching.

In summary, this project integrates teacher training and innovation with research and documentation of innovative teaching processes. Propose the implementation of innovations as a process of inquiry and require the cooperative participation of teachers in all stages of the process (action-observation-reflection), is a strategy that allows and promotes collaboration between teachers and the construction of the competencies required for the improvement of teaching quality.
