At the University of Barcelona we have designed a curriculum that allows you to study both Law and Public Administration and Management simultaneously. The programme requires that you complete a total of 348 credits in five years, studying subjects from both degrees.
The dual pathway encompasses all the fundamental and compulsory subjects of the EHEA bachelor’s degree in Law, which, where applicable, are validated for the equivalents of the degree in Public Management and Administration.
The programme essentially offers a full degree in Law, complemented with subjects from the degree in Public Management and Administration. These subjects provide students with the skills required to develop a professional career not only in public management or the direction of public organizations, but also within the network of private companies operating in related areas.
Choosing this double degree means retaining the option of a career in Law, while also being trained for a broad range of professional roles in public management.
The dual pathway meets the needs of the government and the public sector, which have typically filled a significant number of higher positions in general or specialized public management with graduates in Law, who have then trained in public management either on the job or through continuing education.
