Introduction

The bachelor's degree in Digital Information and Documentation Management produces professionals with a strong command of the processes and techniques used to create, analyse, manage, assess and communicate information in different media and formats for end users.
The bachelor's degree in Digital Information and Documentation Management trains students to plan, implement, manage and assess techniques for information products and services, as well as in the current channels and devices used to deliver them. It trains future professionals, giving them an understanding of the national and international legal framework regulating information in the new digital world. It provides specific competences for gathering, selecting, organizing, preserving and disseminating information and documentation through the application of technologies. Furthermore, it gives students the communication skills required to link users and documents, as well as the resource management competences to ensure the quality of information services. Students acquire training as professionals who are open to change and able to adapt to professional environments characterized by constant innovation of processes and tools, harnessing the strategic value of information and documentation in all kinds of organizations.

Although students may have different academic backgrounds, certain attitudes and skills facilitate the successful completion of this bachelor's degree, many of which will be acquired and developed as the course progresses. They include the following:

Admission for students with studies completed outside Spain.

Previous years

Placements

Placements are supervised by tutors and subject to assessment.They are therefore included in the academic record.  There is also an option to complete non-curricular placements of up to 500 hours, which can be extended to 900 hours. For both curricular and non-curricular placements, an educational cooperation agreement is signed between the UB and the company, institution or other organization at which the placement will be carried out.
