EHEA bachelor's degrees

Pharmacy

What you will learn

Pharmacy is one of the most interesting areas of university study. Pharmacists are at the front line of healthcare and research, developing new compounds with the potential to eradicate major diseases. The bachelor’s degree is a five-year course, as it leads to the official qualification required for professional practice.

One of the benefits of a degree in pharmacy is the broad spectrum of job areas and employment opportunities that it provides. Graduates, for example, can work in pharmacies, in the pharmaceutical industry, and in related areas such as pharmaceutical marketing, research, public or private health management, and teaching. Employment prospects are therefore particularly high.
According to the QS World University Ranking for Pharmacy and Pharmacology 2015, the University of Barcelona (UB) is the leading Spanish university for pharmacy studies, and among the 100 best in the world.
Pharmacy is one of the most stimulating study options for new university students who wish to contribute to improving quality of life and well-being through professional practice in hospital pharmacy, scientific research, community pharmacy, health inspection, drug development or nutritional advice, among a host of potential job areas.
