Introduction

CETT-UB's master's degree in Tourism Innovation Management is a training program for professionals that offers you the basic and advanced tools for managing innovation in the touristic sector. You will acquire the knowledge and skills that characterize scientific methodology towards the correct application of research tools.
The master's has three specializations:
- Tourism Management of Urban Destinations.
- Tourism Management of Natural and Cultural Heritage.
- Touristic Management of the Culinary and Gastronomic Heritage.
The master's program defines the skills necessary for the creation and management of touristic destinations by way of innovation and the value of Heritage. The program constitutes a unique opportunity to access a new job market in the development of touristic destinations.

Learning objectives

  • Provide a holistic view of the disciplines that configure the science of Tourism in a way that makes it possible to understand both the transversal and international perspective of the discipline and position the business in this context, as the foundation towards the effective innovation in Tourism.
  • Skill students in the management of innovation in the touristic sector, analyzing the variables that play out in the success of the respective markets, identifying the main strategic subsectors towards innovating in Tourism and its relationship with the territory.
  • Acquire the basics to understand all the processes that are part of the R&D, integrating every aspect towards their convergence in a comprehensive training in research and design of services in Tourism.
  • Provide the students with the instruments and methods for the analysis and diagnostic of the current and future challenges in the touristic sector, as well as the necessary strategies for guaranteeing their competitiveness and sustainability built on the foundations of innovative and creative processes.
Develop the personal and interpersonal competences of the students, necessary to exercise leadership for innovative projects in a changing and complex environment.
