Learning objectives:
To learn to design conventional construction structures, which make up 90% of buildings. This refers specifically to two types: apartment blocks and industrial warehouses Reinforced concrete and steel structures and shallow foundations are covered in the course. Simultaneously, a specific part is devoted to the study of seismic-resistant structures.
- Theoretical bases: to gain a command of the concepts required to resolve predimensioning problems and to validate the software results.
- Regulations: to become familiar with regulatory specifications.
- Software: to acquire the knowledge to use the program safely and effectively.
- Projects: to learn to resolve proposed structures with manual pre-dimensioning, followed by definitive dimensioning with CYPE.

Ibero-American professionals in the construction sector, architects and engineers who want to specialise in the area of building structures with an international focus, due to the two types of regulations that are considered: European (CTE | EAE | Eurocodes) and US (ASCE-7 | ACI-318).
Admission for applicants not holding a degree qualification:
Students who are not university graduates may be admitted on these courses. These students will be eligible for a university extension course certificate.Information regarding the entry requirements in this case can be obtained from the course coordinators.
