Learning objectives:
- To reinforce the importance of including individual lifestyle and its impact on the health and appearance of skin in dermatological practice.
- To provide an in-depth review of dermocosmetics and its impact on the skin, including aspects such as existing categories, the process of product development, indications and contraindications and new trends (e.g. clean beauty).
- To demonstrate the main practices in beauty (e.g. tattoos, piercings, nail art, etc.) and life in society (e.g. social networks, new substances, etc.) that are currently in force and their impact on the skin, considering aspects such as their historical background, techniques used and complications observed.
- To share the impact of certain professional (e.g. working in the open air, being in recurring contact with chemicals, etc.) and sports practices (e.g. aquatic sports, mountain sports, etc.)
on the skin, as well as the main prevention strategies.

Recommended applicant profiles and admission requirements:
Dermatologists who are working at the start of the course.
- Graduates in medicine and surgery with a specialization in dermatology.

NOTE: Access for non-graduates is reserved exclusively for those with degrees in Medicine or Surgery with a specialization in Dermatology (underway or finished) whose qualification is not legalised in Spain at the start of the course.

Admission for applicants not holding a degree qualification:
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
