Objectives and admission

Learning objectives:
General objectives:
- Advance in compliance with Law 17/2015, 21 July, on effective equality between women and men (LIEDH), regarding the obligation for basic, progressive, lifelong training on gender and the gender perspective taught by expert staff.
- Acquire theoretical and practical knowledge to design, implement and assess public policies for real gender equality in Catalan public administration.
- Be able to implement changes of varying intensity in everyday tasks as a public employee from a gender perspective.

- Specific objectives:
- Analyse public problems from a comparative perspective.
- Assess public problems from a gender perspective.
- Analyse and interpret indicators from a gender perspective.
- Be able to formulate alternatives to tackle public problems from a gender perspective.

Recommended applicant profiles and admission requirements:
- Leading figures in gender from departments of the Government of Catalonia and other government bodies.
- Staff of the Catalan Institute for Women (ICD).

Access requirements: bachelor's degree or diploma

Admission for applicants not holding a degree qualification:
Students who are not university graduates may be admitted on these courses. These students will be eligible for a university extension course certificate.Information regarding the entry requirements in this case can be obtained from the course coordinators.
