GLOBAL SECURITY POLICIES EXTREMISMS AND VIOLENCE (2022-2023)
Learning objectives:
- To train for a basic specialisation in new professional skills that prevent Islam radicalization, Jihadist terrorism and global security within various areas and public policies.
- To acquire training in the prevention of radicalization and violent extremism for graduates in: political science, sociology, security, law, criminology, public management and administration, social work, social education, mediation, journalism, media communication, psychology, anthropology or humanities. Also, for primary and secondary school teachers, political advisors, public managers, immigration officials, LGTBI specialists, anti-rumour specialists, heads of security, managers of sports or leisure entities, and other professionals working in prevention of radicalization.
Recommended applicant profiles and admission requirements:
- Degree or diploma holders.
- Students who do not hold a university degree can be also admitted to this course, and will receive a university extension certificate on completion.
Admission for applicants not holding a degree qualification:
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
