This course may undergo changes in the calendar, teaching methodology or assessment procedure depending on the course of events and the guidelines of health authorities in relation to the COVID-19 crisis. Notwithstanding, the quality of the training and the achievement of objectives are guaranteed in all cases.

Objectives and admission

Learning objectives:
- Learn to address the most common social and psychological symptoms of childhood and adolescence in the twenty-first century.
- Acquire practical skills for interaction with children and adolescents who exhibit complex behaviours.
- Promote ways of networking with professionals from the social, clinical and educational fields.
- Understand the discourses that shape and inform the early stages of life.
- Reason about the way in which life events inform the subjectivity of children and adolescents.
- Elucidate the implicit ethical principles in the specific activities of each professional.
- Encourage critical thinking about childhood in the era of performance, based on a historical, philosophical and pedagogical analysis.

- Graduates in psychology.
- Medicine graduates.
- Graduates in Education.
- Teachers in early childhood education.
- Primary education teachers.
- Teachers in secondary education.
- Graduates in social education.
- Graduates in social work.
- Educators and monitors in the area of mental health.

Admission for applicants not holding a degree qualification:
Students who are not university graduates may be admitted on these courses. These students will be eligible for a university extension course certificate.Information regarding the entry requirements in this case can be obtained from the course coordinators.
