MINDFULNESS-BASED INTERVENTIONS (2022-2024)
Learning objectives:
To acquire a specialized training that broadens the students' knowledge of the technical and clinical use of in the professional practice of psychology or other areas in which these therapeutic techniques may be implemented.
Specific objectives:
- To learn how to identify the mechanisms underlying practices.
- To recognise the effects and physical benefits of mindfulness in a range of disorders.
- To learn the main types of interventions based on mindfulness.
- To understand clinical applications based on mindfulness.
- To incorporate the main mindfulness techniques into practice.
Recommended applicant profiles and admission requirements:
- Graduates in psychology who would like to apply mindfulness techniques in their everyday professional practice.
- University graduates in other specializations (medicine, nursing, social work, educational psychology, etc.) who wish to integrate mindfulness into their professional practice.
Admission for applicants not holding a degree qualification:
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.

Observations: weekly sessions, alternating between seminars (Fridays from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and clinical sessions (on Friday mornings or afternoons); practical activities take place outside teaching hours.
