Learning objectives:
- To be able to analyse and promote new management and organisation models to improve in an enduring way the overall clinical results.
- To know how to define the objectives that should be met by work units or teams.
- To be able to review the model for organisation and responsibilities, among other factors, to achieve the set objectives.
- To be able to compare the management system, the resources (budget, human, technological, etc.) and the phases of functioning, among other factors, to launch a new service or facility.
- To be able to adapt the products and services to the special needs of certain groups (children and the elderly, people with limited mobility, etc.).
- To develop methodologies and procedures to improve patient care and service: service charters, commitments, care protocols, etc.
- To include the use of social networks in the communication of services and in customer care and loyalty building.
- To know how to search for and apply the means required to meet patient needs.
- To be able to analyse the need to take decisions on digitalisation of the clinic, specifically on the introduction of instruments and software related to health care.
- To learn how to calculate the required investments, considering sustainability and the impact on service costs.
- To learn how to identify the skills required of team members who have to address a specific service or project.
- To be able to extensively delegate functions and responsibilities to co-workers.
- To be able to define the final goals more than the process.
- To be able to contribute a strategic approach to the team's activity.
Recommended applicant profiles and admission requirements:
- Dentists and stomatologists.
- Postgraduate dentistry students.
- Recent graduates and diploma holders in dentistry (last five years) wishing to open a dental clinic.
- Staff in dental clinics or related industries (prosthetics, dental suppliers, etc.) with managerial or administrative roles.
- Graduates in law, business administration and management, economics and business studies who are interested in setting up or running a dental clinic.
Admission for applicants not holding a degree qualification:
The course is also open to students with no prior university education, who will acquire the same knowledge and skills and receive a specific qualification for their learner group. Information on the access requirements and other conditions can be obtained from the course directors.
