7th International Seminar on UNESCO Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights
To commemorate the 20th anniversay of the UNESCO Bioethics Programme, the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics of the UB organises an international seminar aimed at analysing and discussing the research on biomedicine involving human biological materials. The conference, entitled "La revisió de la Declaració dʼHèlsinki de lʼAssociació Mèdica Mundial a la llum de la Declaració Universal sobre Bioètica i Drets Humans" is particularly addressed to members of research ethics committees and people interested in bioethics training.
Within the seminar, on 22 October at 7.15 p.m., the book La confidencialitat en lʼassistència sanitària (Publicaciones i Ediciones of the UB, 2013) will be presented. It is written by Lídia Buisan, professor of Medical Ethics at the Faculty of Medicine of the UB. The personalities who participate in the presentation are María Casado, director of the Bioethics and Law Observatory of the Ub; Albert Royes, secretary of the Bioethics Committee of the UB; Manel Gené, director of the Department of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine, and Meritxell Antón, director of Publicacions i Edicions of the UB.
