5th IRBio Session: “Women scientits in the field of biodiversity”

Session to reflect on the gender problem in the field of research, and to promote and give visibility to women scientists and their research. It will be structured into three parts. The first one will be a recognition ceremony for the role of several pioneer women in the study of biodiversity in Catalonia. The second one will highlight the important role of these women in a context of gender inequality due the economic, social and political environment of their time. And the third one is a conference with the participation of the researchers from the Department of Evolutionary Biology, Ecology and Environmental Sciences Conxita Àvila, Laura Baldo and Cristina Linares.
