Five members of the Electoral Syndicate appointed by the Catalan Parliament to carry out supervision tasks on the October 1 referendum in 2017 have been accused of noncompliance and usurpation of functions by the Public Prosecution. Two of them are lecturers at the University of Barcelona. The university community wants to show support with this action and to claim for the removal of these accusations. Participants will be Francesc Cardellach, dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences; lecturers Marta Alegret and Conxita Àvila, representing UB per la República; the president of ANC, Elisenda Paluzie, the lecturer from the Faculty of Law Joan Queralt, and UB lecturers who were electoral trustees: Marc Marsal, lecturer of Administrative Law, and Jordi Matas, professor of Political Science.

The journalist and editor of Vilaweb, Vicent Partal, will present the event, where the Choir of the University of Barcelona will also give a performance.
