The exhibition shows some legends related to malaria, a disease causing about 435,000 deaths worldwide every year. Apart from presenting the scientists who contributed to the study of this disease, the exhibition shows the evolution of the treatment, from the first extracts of Artemisia annua or tree bark to nowadays.
The opening ceremony will take place on November 19, at 12 noon, in the hall of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Participants will be Antoni Plasència, director general of ISGlobal; Antoni Trilla, dean of the Faculty, and Quique Bassat, curator of the exhibition.
