This year's CLUB focuses on language change. On the one hand, with an approach to drive and expand the study from a multidisciplinary perspective and the complexity, and analyzing the relationship between dialectal varieties and the standard language. On the other hand, with the application of some computational tools to consider certain language changes and predict them.

Javier Velaza, dean of the Faculty of Philology and Communication, will open the session, together with Xavier Vila, director of the Department of Catalan Philology and General Linguistics, and Lluís Payrató, principal researcher of the Study Group on Variation.

The colloquium will be live-streamed on UBtv.
