The University of Barcelona will make a formal presentation of its Virtual Museum at Uppsala University (Sweden), in an event to be held on 17 June as part of the XI UNIVERSEUM Network Meeting, this year titled 'University Heritage: Present and Future'.

The presentation will be made by Santiago Vallmitjana, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Physics, and Isabel Garcia Malet, coordinator of the University of Barcelona Virtual Museum Project, who will attend the event on behalf of the Vice-Rector for Arts, Culture and Heritage, Lourdes Cirlot.

The UNIVERSEUM Meeting is an annual conference organized by the European Academic Heritage Network, attended by representatives of university museums from across the continent. During the event, universities present major areas of work carried out during the year and provide the other members with information about the collections, archives and buildings of architectural and historical interest that make up their institutional heritage. The meeting is also a platform for the discussion of new systems and strategies for exhibiting, preserving, managing and restoring collections and individual items.
