The Erasmus Staff Week, organised at the UB by the BKC and the International Mobility and Programs Office, is part of the ERASMUS programme of the European Union, which promotes not only students exchanges but also staff mobility (both teaching and research staff and administrative and service staff). In fact, members of administrative and service staff from different universities usually visit several services and departments from the UB as part of this programme. The Erasmus Staff Week is an initiative carried out by several universities aimed to gather most of these training exchanges in one week and prepare a specific program with different activities. Around thirty members of staff from Germany, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Holland, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania and the United Kingdom will visit the UB.

The Erasmus Staff Week will begin with a welcoming ceremony at the Faculty of Medicine (Casanova campus), which will include addresses by the dean, Francesc Cardellach; the responsible for International Relations of the Faculty of Medicine, Antoni Trilla, and Mireia Freixa, professor of Art History, who will give a talk on Catalan history and culture. On the first day the HUBc will also be presented, whereas, on the following day, the Faculty of Law will host the presentation of the BKC. On Wednesday, 25 April, and Thursday, 26 April, members of staff will visit faculties and services in the BKC, such as the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Barcelona Scientific Park, and Sports UB. Moreover, the organisation of the international relations of the UB will be presented and informative sessions will be given on the Resource Center for Learning and Research of the UB (CRAI), the Support Service for Students, the Hispanic Studies Institute and UB Alumni.

Among other activities, a guided tour has been organised in the Gothic Quarter, together with an institutional dinner. Besides, participants will also have some free time to visit those units they are more interested in. On the last day there will be a guided tour in the Historic Building, followed by a closing ceremony.
