Victòria Girona and Dídac Ramírez will contest the UBʼs Rector Office in a second round that will take place on 27th November
The Dr Victòria Girona, who obtained 39.16 % of the weighted vote, and the Dr Dídac Ramírez, who got 31.75 % of the weighted vote, are the two candidates who will contest the UBʼs Rector Office in the second round that will take place on 27th November. The two other candidates, Dr Josep Antoni Bombí and Dr Joaquim Gutiérrez obtained 15.82 % and 13.27 % of the weighted vote respectively.

In this first round, which happened without incident, 64,577 people from the different university groups were able to vote. Finally, 9,647 people cast their votes, what represents 14.94 % of the total. Out of this total, 8,877 votes were for the candidates, 415 were blank and 355 spoiled.
The number of votes of each university group are the following: out of a total of 2,228 permanent professors who could cast, 1,656 voted (74.33 %); out of a total of 3,372 teaching and research staff, 1,090 voted (32.33 %); out of a total of 56,653 students, 5,275 voted (9.31 %); and out of a total of 2,324 administrative and service staff, 1,626 voted (69.97 %).
The votes were distributed in the following way:
Dr Girona obtained 39.16 % of the weighted vote. 19.77 % came from permanent professors; 3.72 % came from teaching and research staff; 12.56 % from students; and 3.10 % from administrative and service staff.
Dr Ramírez got 31.75 % of the weighted vote. 20.72 % came from permanent professors; 3.37 % came from teaching and research staff; 4.21 % from students; and 3.44 % from administrative and service staff.
Dr Bombí obtained 15.82 % of the weighted vote. 5.79 % came from permanent professors; 1.19 % came from teaching and research staff; 7.95 % from students; and 0.89 % from administrative and service staff.
Dr Gutiérrez got 13.27 % of the weighted vote. 4.71 % came from permanent professors; 0.72 % came from teaching and research staff; 5.27 % from students; and 2.56 % from administrative and service staff.
