Raquel Pelta and Javier Sastre created this online design magazine one year ago. Their main objective is to share knowledge on this field, to freely disseminate it among the general public, and to build a tool which could be useful for all the people who are part of design community.

This year, the Barcelona City Awards ceremony will take place on Monday 18th February in the Saló de Cent of the City Council. The awards have also recognised other personalities and institutions in nineteen categories related to different fields, such as, Catalan, dance, theatre, architecture, popular culture or gastronomy, among many others.

The Barcelona City Council confers these awards, which are the most important honour given by the city, every year. With more than sixty years of history, the awards recognise creation, research and good quality cultural production done by Barcelonese individuals or groups, and by institutions or organizations which promote or produce this type of activities. Award-winners are selected by a jury composed by prestigious members who represent every field of knowledge. Award-winning works must contribute to the development of cultural activities and must be part of the activities in which creators, associations, public institutions and cultural industries participate.
