AQR-Lab of UB advises the European Parliament on wage dispersion

The main objective of the study is to analyse the role that structural policies, particularly those that make reference to labour market regulation, play in recent changes in salary inequality among EU members. Moreover, the study will provide a detailed analysis of the effects that the bargaining system, the importance of a minimum wage and the coexistence of different quality job positions have on wage inequality.

This is the second project that the European Parliament has commissioned to AQR-Lab in the last two years. The first one, developed in 2013, is entitled The European Dimension in the National Reforms Programmes and the Stability or Convergence Programmes.
