The international workshop Study Space analyses housing options in the city of Barcelona
From 5 to 9 May, the Faculty of Law of the University of Barcelona hosts the seventh edition of the international Study Space workshops that Georgia State University (GSU) organises and funds in different cities around the world. The edition that takes place in Barcelona is focused on adequate housing options. Using Barcelona as a case study, participants will explore issues such as the barriers to affordable housing, housing discrimination and homelessness.

Using Barcelona as a case study, participants will explore issues such as the barriers to affordable housing, housing discrimination and homelessness.
Julian Jurgensmeyer, professor from GSU, leads the workshop. Jane Ball, professor of Law at the University of Newcastle, speaks about the right to housing in France and the United States. Besides academic sessions, participants will visit Incasol headquarters, attend meetings of the Platform for People Affected by Mortgages and visit the facilities of different social services in the city.
