During these two weeks, students —three of them are UB students— have presented their researches and participated in many round table talks. There are four UB lecturers among the fourteen who have participated in EDIC: Maria Rosa Buxarrais, Francisco Esteban, Miquel Martíez and Elena Noguera. Other lecturers come from Helsinki, Utrecht, Prague, Brighton, Tel-Aviv, Athens and Freiburg.

By means of cooperative work, the programme encourages the development of multidisciplinary research proposals that contribute to current theories and practices in moral education and democratic intercultural citizenship. It also promotes educational proposals and public policy recommendations regarding education matters.

Maria Rosa Buxarrais, professor from the Department of Theory and History of Education and coordinator of EDIC 2014, considers that the programme is a very positive experience as “it has contributed to standardize terminology and go deeper into this aspect, not only from a theoretical point of view, but also considering the research carried out in each country”.
