This year, the University of Barcelona participates again in the Saló Futura (postgraduate study fair) to present its master’s degrees and postgraduate diplomas for the academic year 2015-2016. Today, 20 March, the secretary for Universities and Research of the Government of Catalonia, Antoni Castellá, opens the Saló Futura, accompanied by the director general of the Fira de Barcelona, Agustí Cordón; the director of the fair, Roser Soley, and the secretary general of the Inter-University Council of Catalonia, Claudi Alsina. The vice-rector for Academic Policy and Quality, Gaspar Roselló, also attends the opening.

The Saló Futura, which coincides with the Saló del Ensenyament —where the UB has a stand too—, takes place on 20 and 21 March, in Palau 5, at the Montjuïc venue of Fira de Barcelona. The fair can be visited from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The University of Barcelona announces some new master's degrees for the academic year 2015-2016. Its main objective is to provide expert and interdisciplinary knowledge about diabetes, a chronic disease which can occur at any age and requires highly complex treatment and control at all levels of care.

In addition, UB academic course offering includes other remarkable programmes such as the master’s degrees in Motor Activity and Education, Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, Accounting and Taxation, Education in Rural Areas, and Computational Modelling in Physics, Chemistry and Biochemistry, among many others.

The University of Barcelona gives information about more than 500 master’s degrees and postgraduate diplomas that the institution offers at its different faculties and schools, and its course offering at the Institute for Lifelong Learning (IL3-UB).
