The American Chemical Society (ACS) honoured Enric Brillas, professor in the Department of Physical Chemistry, and Mehmet A. Oturan, professor at the University Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, on the symposium “Emerging electrochemical water remediation technologies: A symposium in honor of professor Enric Brillas and professor Mehmet A. Oturan”, which took place last August in Boston within the 250th meeting of the ACS.

The American Chemical Society (ACS) honoured Enric Brillas, professor in the Department of Physical Chemistry, and Mehmet A. Oturan, professor at the University Paris-Est Marne-la-Vallée, on the symposium “Emerging electrochemical water remediation technologies: A symposium in honor of professor Enric Brillas and professor Mehmet A. Oturan”, which took place last August in Boston within the 250th meeting of the ACS.

Throughout their career, both professors have led pioneering research studies in the development of electrochemical advanced oxidation processes to treat water pollutants.

Professor Brillas is the director of the Laboratory of Electrochemistry of Materials and Environment (LEMMA), located in the Department of Physical Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry of the UB. He has published more than 300 articles in journals and around 30 book chapters; he has supervised more than 20 PhD theses and research projects.
