The directing team of the Social Work School takes office
Violeta Quiroga took office as Director of the Social Work Training and Research Section (UFR) of the Social Work School. The event took place on September 5, at the boardroom in the Rectorʼs office, chaired by the Rector, Dídac Ramírez. In this event Manuel Aguilar was also appointed sub-Director and Paula Duran, Secretary of the UFR Social Work School directing team.
Last July 13th the Governing Council of the University of Barcelona approved of the report on creating a new Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, which result from the integration of UFR Social Work School and the faculties of Philology, Philosophy, Geography and History, Library and Information Sciences. The new faculty is listed as having the highest number of students, teachers and research in the human and social fields in Catalonia, and as one of the most important worldwide. With this approval the academic structure reform is completed, approved by the Governing Council on April 20, 215.
