La Universitat de Barcelona, among the top Spanish institutions in performance
The University of Barcelona is the fourth university in Spain regarding performance, according to the results of the ranking published by Fundación Conocimiento y Desarrollo (CyD Foundation). The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Pompeu Fabra University and the University of Navarra hold the first three positions.
The University of Barcelona is the fourth university in Spain regarding performance, according to the results of the ranking published by Fundación Conocimiento y Desarrollo (CyD Foundation). The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Pompeu Fabra University and the University of Navarra hold the first three positions.
Particularly, the University of Barcelona got a high performance in 20 out of the 33 analyzed indicators, which assess teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and contribution to regional development. However, it has a lower performance in four indicators related to teaching and learning, artistic production and obtaining external funds for research.
Great contribution to regional development
The University of Barcelona gets the leading position regarding regional development. The UB got the highest score on the three evaluated indicators: internships in companies, regional publications and regional research funding.
The results of this ranking, which analyses 82 universities -50 public and 62 private universities-, show the strength of the Catalan university system, which lists four universities among the top five in performance.
