The University of Barcelona wins the 6th Academic Debate Tournament of Malaga

The University of Barcelona is the winner of the 6th Academic Debate Tournament of Malaga, organized by the young association Kairós Debate, in the University of Malaga. The competition, held on March 29 until April 1, gathered more than a hundred students coming from the universities of Barcelona, Santiago de Compostela, Valladolid, Malaga, Almeria, Cordova, Argentina, Panama and Mexico. “Should ONU intervene North Corea for having violated Human Rights?” was the subject of debate.

The team of the Debate Association of the University of Barcelona (ADUB) competed against Kairós Debate in the final, after having won five out of the six debates in which they participated. The former team defended a favouring position while the latter defended the opposite. The team of the UB was led by Jordina Pérez, graduate in Social Education and with a master degree on Criminal Law Enforcement in the Community and Restorative Justice. Her teammates were Georgina Rodríguez, graduate in History and student of the master degree in Cultural Heritage Management and Museology; Joan Torras, student of fourth year in Administration and Business Management and first year in Political and Administrative Sciences, and Antonio Torregrosa, student of Political Sciences and Law Administration.
