From June 7 to 16, the exhibition room of the Faculty of Fine Arts will show the exhibition “Draw_Raw_Graphic Interchange Format_02”, a collection of artistic works made by eleven students of the courses Creation Workshop I and Creation Workshop III (3rd and 4th year of the bachelor degree of Fine Arts). Drawings, the artist book, videos and photography are some of the chosen disciplines by the young artists. The exhibition will open this Wednesday, June 7, at 12 h, with the performance Vesuvi: expansions del subconscient, by the student Bàrbara Rodríguez.

This is the second edition of the collective exhibition, which aims to get students of the last courses of Fine Arts involved in several professional fields, strongly related to creation processes, this year the artistic post-productions and the exhibition: “The idea of collective exhibition offers the students the opportunity to re-think their work regarding other works by the other students, apart from giving visibility to their work and relating it to the audience, a subsequent receptor of a piece of art”, says Montserrat López, lecturer from the Department of Visual Arts and Design, and commissioner of the exhibition.

The theme of this exhibition follows the track of the first edition: the exchange of graphics and the media-reality crossing -as distinguishing traits of new ways to create art- serve the students to reveal some of societyʼs questions, and appealing poetry to re-draw yearned potentials.

The eleven artists taking part in this yearʼs exhibition are: Cinta Balsells, Pablo Bertolín, Alicia Folgueiras, Miriam Garibaldi, Ariadna Mir, Montse Pena, Núria Pla, Anna Reixach, Bàrbara Rodríguez, Claudia Rosado and Luisa Segura.
