This morning, some members of the Rectorʼs Office team took office, changes which have been now offitial in the organization of the team in the Rectorʼs Office and in Administrative Units. The new structure will have two new vice-rectorʼs offices: the Vice-Rectorʼs Office for Entrepreneurship, Transfer and Innovation, led by Albert Cirera, lecturer of physics; and the Vice-Rectorʼs Office for Communication and Coordination, led by the former head of the Rectorʼs Office, Ernest Pons. The person to replace Pons as head of the Rectorʼs Office is the secretary technician of the Rectorʼs Office, Pedro Vázquez.

In the same ceremony, other members took office: Josep Batista, former dean of Psychology, will now be the new vice-rector for Teaching and Research Staff, replacing Mercè Pallàs. The Rector thanked Mercè Pallàs for her dedication during this year and a half as well as the tasks carried outu by Rafael Martínez as head of the Vice-Rectorʼs Office for Organization and PAS, which will disappear with the new structure.

In todayʼs ceremony, Oriol Escardíbul, former vice-rector for Economy, took office as manager of the UB, after a month of being acting manager. A part of the responsibilities of the management will be now related to the Administration and Services Staff (PAS).
