The University of Barcelona holds a position among the top 250 universities worldwide, according to the new edition of the ranking by the journal The Times Higher Education (THE). The 2019 edition of this list is led by two English universities, Oxford and Cambrdige, followed by Stanford, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the California Institute of Technology.

The University of Barcelona holds a position among the top 250 universities worldwide, according to the new edition of the ranking by the journal The Times Higher Education (THE). The 2019 edition of this list is led by two English universities, Oxford and Cambrdige, followed by Stanford, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the California Institute of Technology.

Out of the five areas in which the ranking indicators are grouped, the University of Barcelona stands out in citations, where it gets a score of 85.1 and in internationalization, with a score of 52.6. It also improves its position in knowledge transfer and teaching compared to last year.

In the 2019 edition of this ranking, Catalan universities are once more the top positioned in Spain. The University of Barcelona is the third one in Spain, following Pompeu Fabra University (135) and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (145).
