The exhibition “Victoria de los Ángeles. La veu que sorgí de la Universitat” opened on Tuesday 12. This exhibition will be available in the room Josep Uclés in El Carme Cultural Centre in Badalona, until September 23. The exhibition pays homage to one of the biggest figures in the history of lyric through images that portray her personality and objects that go through her professional career.

The exhibition “Victoria de los Ángeles. La veu que sorgí de la Universitat” opened on Tuesday 12. This exhibition will be available in the room Josep Uclés in El Carme Cultural Centre in Badalona, until September 23. The exhibition pays homage to one of the biggest figures in the history of lyric through images that portray her personality and objects that go through her professional career.

Visitors will find photographs and portraits of the artist, as well as personal diaries, scores, and several documents and recordings. There are some of her dresses as well, bijou, and other personal objects. All original pieces are owned by Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation and are now deposited in the facilities of the collaborating entitie: ESMUC, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Arxiu Nacional de Catalunya, Palau de la Música Catalana, and Institut del Teatre.
 
Other activities

The exhibition is included in the program organized by the Vice-Rectorʼs Office of Arts, Culture and Heritage of the University of Barcelona together with the Provincial Council of Badalona Educadora, in the exhibition room Josep Uclés in El Carme Cultural Centre, and has two more activities:

On June 21 at 7 p.m., Jorge Binaghi will give the conference “Victoria de los Ángeles, un cant a la vida” in the same place of the exhibition, and there will be a guided tour as well.

Also, on July 12, at 7 p.m. in El Carme in Badalona, the documentary “Brava, Victòria” will be screened, in an event to be presented by its director, Maria Gorgues.
