Once more, the participation of the sports players in CCU has beaten records. This year, more than 6,400 sports players from twelve Catalan universities took part in it. The UB was once more the university with the highest number of awarded sports players: Alba Cerrillo (Criminology), in open-water swimming; Marc Elias (Primary Education) in menʼs futsal; Marina Navalpotro (Biology) in womenʼs handball; Marta Alsó (Physical Activity and Sports Sciences) in judo; Carla Mendez (masterʼs degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences), in womenʼs padel; Ferran Insa (Business Administration and Management) in menʼs padel; Violeta de Puig (Physical Activity and Sports Sciences) in womenʼs rugby; Marta Carrascosa (Primary Education), in womenʼs volleyball, and Marc Ferrer (History of Art) in menʼs volleyball. Also, the UB won the ʻJuga Verd-playʼ prize in the categories of womenʼs rugby and menʼs volleyball. These awards, given by the teams, referees and the audience, value fair-play, attitude and cooperation of players during the competition.

These awards culminate an edition led by the UB, once more, with a total of 90 medals (25 golden medals, 34 silver medals and 31 bronze medals).

Competitions for next season (2018/19) will start in mid-November, under the coordination of the UB and the city of Hospitalet de Llobregat as the University Sports City 2019.
