The cycle includes three conferences and it starts on Wednesday, February 13, at 12 noon, in the Aula Capella of the Historical Building.  Paul Espinosa, distinguished filmmaker, director and screenwriter from the USA, will give the presentation for the documentary Singing our way to freedom, and a conversation will follow with the attendants.

On Tuesday, February 19, at 12 noon in the Aula Capella, the second activity of the cycle will take place: the presentation for the book A translational turn: Latinx literature into the mainstream, by the author of the book, the emeritus professor Marta E. Sánchez, from the University of California San Diego. The book analyses the “new” translations from English to Spanish of latinx writer narrations; North American writers with Latin American origins.

Jacobo Sefamí, from the University of California Irvine, expert on Latin American poetry, will close the cycle, on Monday February 25, in the same place and at the same time than the other sessions. Sefamí will give the conference “Un octubre manchado gravita como una llaga en la memoria: poemas del 68 mexicano”, on the poetry records of the Mexican student movement of 1968 in literature.
