The program ICREA Acadèmia 2018   The program ICREA Academia 2018 has honoured the scientific career of nineteen researchers of the University of Barcelona in the framework of the edition that honoured the research of forty-five experts of the Catalan area. The ICREA Academia awardees receive funding to do research for five years. The awards were given during an event on April 30 in Palau de la Generalitat, a ceremony that counted on the attendance of the vice-rector for Research, Domènec Espriu. The ICREA Academia program was born in 2008 to promote and distinguish the excellence of research carried out by the staff of the public universities in Catalonia. The program contributes to strengthen research carried out by the university staff who are in an active and growing phase of their research career.

Eva Isabel Cacho Lascorz, lecturer at the Department of Earth and Ocean Dynamics

Josep M. Domingo Clua, lecturer at the Department of Catalan Philology and General Linguistics
