Singularitats

Singularitats is a collection created in 2012 willing to share the results of the study lines and research projects that have been carried out by the Research Group on History of Art and Contemporary Design (GRACMON) of the UB. Their books treat several topics related to artistic movements ranging from the second half of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, such as the history and theory of arts, visual and cultural studies, history and representation of cities, and the history and theory of design. This is how such a prestigious line was consolidated, thanks to the authors, consolidated researchers and PhD students -national and international- that have published in this line. These publications, regarded as great works with broad thinking, are edited in Catalan and English, in printed and online formats. The council of editors of the collection is formed by Mireia Freixa (University of Barcelona), Cristina Rodríguez Samaniego (University of Barcelona), Anna Calvera, in memoriam (University of Barcelona), Carlos Reyero (Autonomous University of Madrid), Tomas Macsotay (Pompeu Fabra University).

La Unión de Editoriales Universitarias Españolas (UNE) gave the Academic Publishing Quality for the first time in 2015, together with ANECA and FECYT, to honor the scientific excellence of the editing process of collections published by universities and private science publishing houses. This is the third quality label UB Editions gets in a row, after obtaining one for the collection Instrumenta (2017), led by José Remesal, and the collection Bioètica (2018), led by María Casado.
