Today, lecturer Sílvia Burset, took office today as vice-rector for Teaching, an area which belonged to the vice-rector for Academic Planning and Teaching Amèlia Díaz, who, will be now leading the Vice-Rectorʼs Office of Academic Planning and Quality.

Today, lecturer Sílvia Burset, took office today as vice-rector for Teaching, an area which belonged to the vice-rector for Academic Planning and Teaching Amèlia Díaz, who, will be now leading the Vice-Rectorʼs Office of Academic Planning and Quality.

The new Vice-Rectorʼs Office of Teaching will take the competences on teaching planning, Gr@ad, tutoring action plans, research, innovation and improvement of teaching and learning (RIMDA), teacher training, Institute of Professional Development - ICE, and evaluation of the teaching staff activity (CADUB).

The remodelled Vice-Rectorʼs Office of Academic Planning and Quality will keep the competences on university programs of bacherlor and master degrees, access and admission to bachelor and master degrees, planning and monitoring of bachelor and master studies, continuous training (Postgraduate Agency, Lifelong Learning Institute (IL3-UB), School of Modern Languages and Hispanic Studies), the affiliated centers and the Learning and Research Resources Centre (CRAI), UB rooms and chairs, and Campus of the Americas.

Lecturer Sílvia Burset graduated in Fine Arts and obtained a PhD in Communication, Arts and Education from the University of Barcelona. Tenure track-2 lecturer at the moment, she has been vice-dean of Academic Affairs and Teaching Innovation at the Faculty of Education. She coordinates the masterʼs degree on Interdisciplinary Education of Arts at the University of Barcelona and is member of the Research Group on Heritage Didactics, Comprehensive Museography and New Technologies (DIDPATRI) and the Teaching Innovation Group on Audiovisual Communication (GID-CAV). She has published several articles and book chapters related to her research lines, which focus on didactics of visual arts and the study of text and image interrelations in different context and supports of visual culture.
