The rector, Joan Elias, and the president of the Colegio Oficial de Farmacéuticos de Barcelona (Barcelona School of Pharmacists, COFB), Jordi de Dalmases, signed an agreement to promote the academic and institutional collaboration of general interest to be carried out through the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences. The new agreement sets a global collaboration framework between the UB and COFB, and has been signed today, October 21, in the boardroom of the Rectorʼs Office of the University of Barcelona.

Among other content, the new agreement will promote the participation of collegiate and teaching staff from the bachelorʼs degree in Pharmacy of the UB in the postgraduate studies and training courses of COFB, as well as the development of research programs of common interest in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. In this global framework, COFB members will be provided with access to the services of the Pharmacy and Food Science CRAI Library as external users, plus the collaboration in scientific seminars, conferences and cultural activities from each institution will be promoted.

Thanks to this agreement, which is valid for four years, COFB will give a pre-collegiate condition -with rights and benefits- to the students of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences of the UB who apply for it and have passed 210 credits on their academic itinerary. Also, those interested can be part of Alumni UB, the official association of former students of the University of Barcelona and its affiliated centers, which gives them a place for services and exchange of knowledge, opportunities and benefits.
